Lewis Tuttle married the widow Henrietta Prather Moore following the death of Abigail Willey Tuttle. Two of his sons by Abigail Willey married the two Moore girls who were brought up in the same home.

Frank Pair has the marriage date with William Lewis Tuttle, Sr. as August 1, 1855.

A suit was filed over 80 acres on Oct. 14, 1886 in Clark Co., IN in which the plaintiffs were: Dela D., Leonard H., and William L. Tuttle; Henrietta wife of William Fry; Henry A. and Henry A. and Arne S. Tuttle (minors) with guardian Mary Willis (formerly Mary Lousia Moore Tuttle); and the defendants were: Henrietta Tuttle (widow), Isaac Tutle, Theodore Tuttle, Rosella M. Tuttle (minor), Laura Belle Eaken, Mary Emma Eaken and Henry Edwin Eaken (minor). Henriette Fry was probably another daughter of Lewis and Marianne Tuttle. The Eaken’s have not been identified.1
