Notes for Joseph Floyd Bennett
Joseph Floyd Bennett, 80, Twin Falls county farmer, died at 4:30 p.m. Monday at the Twin Falls county general hospital, following several month's illness.
Mr. Bennett, who was born Sept. 27, 1861, in Braxton county, W. Va., came to Kimberly in 1916. He moved to King Hill some time ago but returned to Twin Falls county several months ago.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Twin Falls mortuary chapel. Interment will be in Sunset memorial park.
Rev. Mark C. Cronenberger, pastor of the Christian church, will officiate.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Ellen Lowther Bennett, Twin Falls, whom he married Sept. 13, 1885, in Republic City, Kan., and the following sons and daughters:
Mrs. John L. Shobe, Hansen; Mrs. Clyde Knapp, King Hill; Mrs. Goldie Chapman, Twin Falls; Mrs. Ralph Pielstick, Clover; Mrs. Clinton Watson, Hazelton; Mrs. Mabel Denning, King Hill; Warrick, Olin W. and Joseph F. Bennett, Jr., all of Twin Falls, and Victor L. Bennett, King Hill.
Eighteen grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four step-grandchildren also survive. One son died in infancy.
Mr. Bennett was a former member of the Odd Fellows lodge at Humphries, Mo.
