Mrs. Thelma Caccavale

Mrs. Thelma Caccavale, 79, Topeka, died Monday, Feb. 4, at a Topeka hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Caccavale worked in the Kansas Motor Vehicle Department drivers license bureau from the early 1960s until she retired in 1970. She also was a certified dental assistant.

She was born Oct. 26, 1904, at Lawrence, the daughter of Serenus and Nellie Tuttle Willey.
Mrs. Caccavale was a member of Central Congregational Church and a past president of Topeka Dental Assistants.

She was married to Emil Saile Dec. 24, 1926, at Lawrence. He died Jan. 21, 1957. She was married to Joseph Caccavale Dec. 4, 1980. He survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Sharon Dister and Donna Saile, both of Topeka, and two grandchildren.

Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, 6th Floor, 1700 W. 6th, 66606.

Emil Joseph Saile

Emilt Joesph Saile, 56, of 1180 Wayne died unexpectedly at a local hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack while at work as a service foreman for the martin Tractor Co.

Mr. Saile was a native of Enid, Ok., and had been a Topeka resident for about 25 years.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Thelma Saile, and two daughters, Donna Saile and Sharon Saile, all of the home; a brother, Joseph Saile, of Lawrence; a half-brother, Charles Kravitz of Manitou Springs, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. george Eberhardt of lawrence, Mrs. Clara Speicher of Denver and Mrs. Marie Kycek of Cresent Lake, Ore.

Funeral services will be announced by the Brennan funeral home.

His brother, Joseph Henry Saile 34129198, is buried in Vinland Cemetery in Douglas County. His parents, Gephart and Eva, born in Germany, were living in Lawrence in the 1900 in census records, but I can find no FAGrave entries for them.
