Husband of Henrietta (Fairfax) West (1776-1854). Robert and Henrietta were married in 1795 in Prince William County, Virginia. Robert was the father of twelve children. He was a Veteran of the War of 1812. Robert was the son of Major Thomas West and Sarah (Trammel) West. His father was a Revolutionary War patriot and was later killed by the Indians in 1785.
