Notes for A. (Aubrey) Thornton Edwards
Named Aubrey Thornton, but always called Thornton. He loved gardening and playing bridge and built 15 grandfather clocks. He retired in 1973 after 28 years as Director of Housing at K-State. A. Thornton Hall was named in his honor. After retirement he and Edna spent 16 sommers at Canyon Village in Yellowstone National Park as assistant managers of Hamilton’s General Store.
