----------

Lovirus Edward "Bus" Park was born to Francis Edward "Ed" Park and Samantha Ellen "Mattie" Hawkins Park in White Cloud, Doniphan County, Kansas. Growing up with four brothers, life on the farm was boisterous and fun.

In 1937, Bus married Martha Iola Chance. Martha had been married before, and Bus helped raise her two sons, Dennis and Donald Pullen. The family moved from Doniphan County to St. Joseph (Missouri) in 1940, and Bus changed occupations from farmer to mechanic. Bus and Martha were divorced in 1948.

In 1949, Bus met and married the love of his life, Hope Monroe. Bus died in 1979 and Hope followed four years later. They are buried together in St. Joseph, Buchanan County, Missouri.

Bus is buried alongside Hope, in the Maple Lawn section of the cemetery. His brother, George Woodrow "Woody" Park, and Woody's first wife Marjorie, are buried together in the same section.
Notes for Hope Laurene (Spouse 1)
Hope L. Monroe Park was born in Missouri to Alfert (b. ~1891) and Lulu (b. ~1902) Monroe. She was married to Lovirus "Bus" Park in 1949.
